Rules of the Jungle

Experience Yala National Park responsibly by adhering to essential guidelines designed to protect both its incredible wildlife and visiting guests.
These rules promote safety, harmony with nature, and a sustainable safari adventure for everyone.

1. Respect Wildlife

Maintain a safe distance from all animals. Do not approach, feed, or disturb them in any way. Remember, you are a guest in their natural habitat.

2. Stay Inside the Vehicle

For your safety, remain inside your safari vehicle at all times. Do not attempt to exit or lean out of the vehicle.

3. Follow the Park Guidelines

Adhere to all instructions given by your guide and the park authorities. Follow marked trails and do not venture off-road, as this can damage the ecosystem and disturb wildlife.

4. No Smoking or Fire

Smoking and open flames are strictly prohibited in the park to prevent forest fires and protect the wildlife.

5. No Flash Photography

Avoid using flash when photographing wildlife. It can startle animals and disrupt their natural behavior.

6. Limit Your Time at Sightings

Be considerate of other visitors and limit your time at popular wildlife sightings to allow others to enjoy the experience.

7. Keep Noise Levels Low

Enjoy the sounds of nature by keeping conversations quiet. Avoid playing loud music, honking horns, or making any other loud noises that might disturb wildlife.

8. Do Not Remove or Damage Plants

Refrain from picking plants, flowers, or removing any natural elements from the park. Preserve the environment for future visitors.
